The Cattle on 1,000 Hills

Unless the Lord builds the house,

those who build it labor in vain.

Unless the Lord watches over the city,

the watchman stays awake in vain.

- Psalm 127:1

Our God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Lord of all things - he owns “the cattle on a thousand hills” (Psalm 50:10). He is the King whose name will be glorified among the nations. And he is our Father who delights in giving good gifts to his children.

So, in the Room to Send initiative may we first and frequently pray. May we ask for God’s mighty work in and through us.

A team of brothers and sisters at Church on Mill is regularly praying for Room to Send and intentionally inviting others to pray, toward the goal of having a global network of prayer. Would we join them? Here are two ideas:

  • Pray with your GC, the person you meet up with to read the Bible, your family, your roommates, etc.!

  • Set a prayer alarm to go off each day at the same time (perhaps 5pm to remind you to ask God to provide the $5 million needed for Room to Send). When it goes off, pause and pray.

I’m excited for how the Lord will shape us as we pray together, Church on Mill!
